Mary P. (Angiulo) Popo, age 86 of Canton, passed away Saturday from complications following surgery. Born in Canton to the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Longobardi) Angiulo, she was preceded in death by her husband Leo L. Popo in 2009. A 1946 graduate of McKinley High School, Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Peace and the O'Neil's Retirees. She had worked for United Concessions, Anthem Blue Cross and O'Neil's department store. She is survived by her children Vince and Debbi Popo, Leonard Popo, Anna Marie Popo, grandchildren A.J. Fosselman, Danielle Fosselman, Michael Popo, brothers and sisters-in-law Bart and Linda Angiulo of Canton, John and Lana Angiulo of Michigan, Joseph and Gail Angiulo, Nick Angiulo all of California, special cousin Frank Anguilo, numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Mercy Medical Center CCU, 8 ^th floor staff and Select Medical. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 9 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna, celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Ex-News Boys or the American Heart Association.
