Mary J. (Carbone) Arena, age 96 of North Canton, passed away Thursday morning after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late Ralph and Carmela (DiSimone) Carbone, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore J. Arena, brothers Donald and Joseph Carbone and sister Ann Cushing. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish. Mary retired in 1980 from Sugardale Meats after 30 years of service. She is survived by her son Theodore Andrew Arena of Ocala, FL, grandchildren Stacey (Shawn) Dougherty of North Canton, Theodore Lee (Tracy) Arena of Louisville, KY, six great-grandchildren; Matt and Molly Dougherty, Alexandra, MacKenzie, Taylor and Gino Arena, great-great-grandson Braxton, sister Jenny Cerreta of Canton and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 am at Little Flower Catholic Parish with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11, Rev. Fr. Leo Wehrlin celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
