Manos in 1952, and then lived and raised a family of four children with her husband in Canton, Ohio. Mary was a strong individual that devoted her life to her family and her many friends and was very actively devoted and served faithfully to her church and parish of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in Canton for 72 years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Constantine and Anastasia Hnaras; her husband of 50 years, John G. Manos; and sister, Catherine Laris.

During her work career, Mary worked on and off at various offices, the latest being Tzangas, Plakas, & Mannos as Receptionist for five years. There, she was recognized and awarded as "Best Receptionist" and retired from the firm in 1995.
Mary was the first women to ever serve on the St. Haralambos Church Parish Council Board. She helped with Vacation Bible School; She worked the Church's Greek Summerfest for 32 years and was head cashier in the church dining room for that event for many years and also helped bake pastries and preparing the various entrees and foods every year.
Mary had been a member of Philoptochos (Friend of the Poor) since 1959 and served as First Vice President. She received the St. Haralambos Church Faithful Service Award in 1991. In 2016, she received the Philoptochos Woman of Distinction Award for all her years of dedicated service to the St. Haralambos church and community. Mary was also a past member and board member of the Cretan Club, and Vice President and a Board member of Silver Liners when her late husband, John, was President. She also volunteered at Aultman Hospital for three years and spent two years volunteering at St John's Samaritan's Table serving lunch to the less fortunate.
Mary was the Coordinator, along with Eleni Paxos, and was instrumental in putting together the 'St. Haralambos Philoptochos Greek Cookbook' that sold well for many years.
The family extends a very sincere 'Thank You' and our appreciation to St. Luke Lutheran Community Nursing Home and to Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care in caring for our Mother during her last months; and to her home care aide for the months prior to entering the nursing home.
