Mary K. (Koufos) Manolas age 95 of Canton, passed away early Wednesday morning. Born in Canton to the late Anastasios and Margaret (Pimpas) Koufos, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Joseph Manolas, and daughter Margie Poulos. Mary was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. She was a 1941 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Mary went on to attend Canton Actual Business College for one year the Kent State University for three years. She enjoyed traveling and was a connoisseur of big band music. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tom and Sophia Manolas, son-in-law Michael Poulos, five grandchildren; John Poulos, Mike (Christina) Poulos, Tom (Lindsay) Poulos, Kristin (David) Morris, Joseph Manolas, and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10 to 1 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating and assisted by Rev. Fr. Basil Shaheen. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
