Mary Jane (Lupe) Marulli, age 95 of Canton, passed away early Tuesday morning after a long life dedicated to the love and care of her husband and 5 children.

Born Jan. 12, 1930 in Canton to the late Salvatore and Mary (Antenucci) Lupe, she was part of full house of 10 children. She was a 1948 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and was a member of the Coterie Women's Club of Canton. After high school Mom worked at the Avalon restaurant until her marriage to Joseph Marulli Sr in 1951. They spent 41 loving and dedicated years of marriage before his passing in 1992.

Mom's focus in life was her Catholic faith and the love and support for her husband, 5 children, relatives and friends. She was very protective of her children, constantly concerned over their safety and welfare. She made many sacrifices in helping to raise a large family and also welcomed relatives in need into an already crowded home from time to time. She was loved and will be missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by son-in-law Harry Papatheodorou, siblings William Lupe, Louise Mareno, Anthony Lupe, Carmella Cerrone, Raymond Lupe, and Richard Lupe.

Mary Jane is survived by her children Mary Jo (Fred) Francis, Christine Papatheodorou, Joseph (Sara) Marulli, Brenda Marulli, John (Theresa) Marulli; grandchildren Jonathan (Courtney) Francis, Matthew (Anne-Marie) Papatheodorou, Joseph (Tiffany) Marulli, Alyssa (Rhea) Marulli, Kara (Gary) Innes; great grandchildren Anna and Maria Papatheodorou; Juliana Francis;  Alexis, Addison, and Lillian Marulli; Wesley Marulli; and Jack and Ella Innes; siblings Catherine Lupe, David Lupe, Judith Alonzo, sister-in-law Cecelia Lupe, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Barb Maximovich, Johanna Varn and Sharon Varn for their loving support and keeping Mom safe and cared for in her home during the last few years.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday Sept 2nd from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday Sept 3rd at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish - St. Anthony Church with Rev. Fr. Kevin Peters celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
