MARY MAY, age 96 of Canton, passed away April 19 after an extended illness. Born in Canton to the late Achim Popa and Eva Streza, she was a graduate of Alliance High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. May in 1987; one sister Helen Dalesandro, one brother John Popa, and one infant brother. Mary is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws Judy and Robert Monter of Canton, and Elaine and Joseph Leonard of Massillon; and her two sons Lawrence May of Canton, and Joseph A. May, Jr. of Canton. She is also survived by grandchildren Gina and Erik Cooper, Melissa and David Monhollen, Amanda Monter, and James and Terri Leonard; and five great-grandchildren Jenna, Sarah, and Matthew Cooper; Kaitlyn and Kourtney Leonard. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 11 am to noon at The Rossi Family Funeral Home. Services will follow at noon in the Rossi Chapel. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
