Mary Rose (Pandoli) Cecconi passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 8 th 2014 after battling cancer for over two years. She was born on May 17, 1931 in Canton to the late John and Teresa Pandoli. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1949 and remained a Bulldog fan her whole life. Mary Rose married Albert Cecconi on June 17, 1950. She and Albert had known each other since early childhood. She dedicated her life to her family, choosing to spend the majority of her adult life as a homemaker, wife and mother. Her deep love for her children over flowed to her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She leaves a legacy of unselfish love and devotion to her family. Throughout her life she made quick and lasting impressions upon all who met her as being a kind and loving person. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will always be remembered in the fondest way. Prior to marriage she managed the first "Flash Casting Service" in Canton a WCMW Radio Broadcasting Co. (1949-1950). After raising her family she volunteered at Walsh College in the bookstore from 1975-1978, and worked at St. Peter's Parish in Canton from 1979-1999 where she handled many of the church's office duties. She was member of Christ the Servant Parish, where she had been active in many programs and activities while her children attended school. She was also active in the Entres Nous Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dean Cecconi and her granddaughter Meghan Cecconi. Surviving her are her husband, Albert Cecconi, sons Tom (Kimberly) Cecconi, Greg (Traci) Cecconi, daughter Janet Cecconi, brothers Carl (Rita) Pandoli and John Pandoli, grandchildren Dean (Beth) Cecconi, Elizabeth (Nando) Flores, Lauren (Joel) Carney, Kelly Cecconi, Adam Cecconi, Alison Cecconi and great granddaughter Meghan Grace Carney. Family and friends will be received Sunday evening from 5 to 7 pm at Rossi Funeral Home and Monday morning from 11:30am to 12:30 pm at the church with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 1:00 pm with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano, Rev. Fr, Edward Stafford and Rev. Fr. Ed Keck con-celebrating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the wonderful physicians and staff at Mercy Medical Center and Bethany Nursing Home for the kind and Comforting care they provided to Mary Rose, especially in her final hours.
