Mary M. (Peterson) Palombo, age 86, of Canton, passed away Friday, September 27th. Born in Canton to the last Oscar and Stella (Heider) Peterson, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Velma Barker, Shirley Yeager, and brother Gene Hess. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Joseph A. Palombo, Sr., children Joseph A. Palombo, Jr., Heidi (Chad) Budd, four grandchildren Nikko (Annika) Palombo, Cody and Alexis Budd, Izzy Palombo, and great grandchild Jamie Palombo. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 9th from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Church. Interment will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
