Mary Louise (Rossi) Melito, age 91 of Canton, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born in Niles, Ohio on September 17, 1925 to the late Adam, Sr. and Rose (Romano) Rossi. Mary was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, and a graduate of Canton McKinley High School. She loved ballroom dancing with her husband, Tony, loved to cook and most of all loved spending time with her great-granddaughter. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Melito; two brothers Guy and Dominick Rossi; and sister Antoinette Forchione. She is survived by her two children Carolyn Melito and Annette (Rick) Schreffler, both of Massillon; grandson Christopher (Tricia) Schreffler; and great-granddaughter Hannah. Also survived by two brothers Marion Rossi and Adam, Jr. (Anita) Rossi, both of Canton. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish at 10 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and aids at Aultman Compassionate Care Center for comfort they showed to their mother.
