Mary (Papageorge) VanMeter, age 99 of North Canton, passed away early Sunday, August 9, 2015. Born in New York City, NY to the late George K. and Fannie (Canelos) Papageorge she was preceded in death by her husbands Amos Konstand, George Matin and Albert J. VanMeter and brother Gus Papageorge. She retired in 1992 from Lord and Taylor Department Store. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Senior Citizens of Holy Trinity. She is survived by her son Richard Matin, daughter Barbara Matin both of Texas, grandchildren Chester Roy Jr, Michelle Roy, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Forest Hill Cemetery, Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating.
