Michael D. Buonaspina age 87 of Louisville passed away late Sunday evening after a brief illness. Mike was born in Canton on May 8, 1928 to the late Vincent and Rachel (Intoccio) Buonaspina. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Parish, a 1946 graduate of Timken Vocational High school, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and an active member of the Foresters Bowling League.

Mike was a retired employee of Republic Steel Berger Division where he was employed for 44 years as a paint shader. He was also employed by Carm's Grocery Store for 5 years and Stark Federal Credit Union for 8 years as a carrier. In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by his brother Vince. He is survived by his wife Mary (Savasta) Buonaspina who would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 15, 2015, Son Rick (Diane) Buonaspina of Jackson Twp, daughter Karen Bowman of Meyers Lake, four grandchildren Vanessa (Christopher) Matney, Michael (Kimberly) Buonaspina, Olivia and Tony Buonaspina. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm at Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Parish. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
