Michael J. Ford, age 85 of North Canton, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Green Meadows Nursing Home. Born July 18, 1929 in North Canton to the late Nadine and George Ford. Preceded in death by his loving sister Mary Sparks. He retired with 42 years of service at the Hoover Company. He was a member of Community Christian Church and a Boy Scout Leader for 15 years. He loved summers at Atwood Lake with his family at their cabin which he built. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Ferry) Ford and children Don (Charlene) Ford, Sharon Ferry, Jack (Lynn) Ford, James Ford and Mary Ford, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home and 10 to 11 am Wednesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
