Michael Esber, Jr., age 65 of Canton, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born on December 23, 1953 to the late Michael, Sr. and Barbara (George) Esber. Mike was a 1971 Oakwood graduate; he then became the owner and operator of Esber's Restaurant and Lounge. He was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. In his free time, he enjoyed drag racing and vacationing, but most of all he enjoyed time with his family. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sandra; children Lisa (Jason) Stout, Kristin (Michael) Ecksmith, and Stephanie (Dr. Dustin) Fox; seven grandchildren Julia and Mikey Bitzel, Gavin and Roman Stout, Hannah Ecksmith, Lucas and Layna Fox. Also survived by siblings Susie (Steve) Baranyk, Michele Esber, Nemer (Patti) Esber, Debbie (Hilarion) Charles, and Bruce Esber; brother-in-law Frederick (Leota) Herman; sisters-in-law Karen Jordan and Sharon Roebuck. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Another hour of visitation will be held on Tuesday morning in the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral Services to begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Michael Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.
