IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael J.
Khourey
December 26, 1952 – March 17, 2022
Michael J Khourey of Canton, OH passed away March 17th 2022 with his family by his side. A lifelong resident of Canton, Mike was born on December 26th 1952 and a graduate of St Thomas Aquinas High School. He attended Kent State Stark University where he met the love of his life and quickly married her before she wised up. A devoted husband and father, Michael owned and operated his own business for over three decades and was a fixture in the neighborhood as the official all-time quarterback and pitcher and snow-fort architect for his son and the other neighborhood kids. A casual golfer and fisherman, Mike enjoyed politics, old movies, and spending time with his wife and family. To those who knew him briefly he often came across as gruff, but to the lucky ones who knew him well, there was no better friend or cousin, brother, husband, or father. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him. Mike is survived by his wife of 44 years Karen (Kalial) Khourey; His son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Janette Khourey of Suffolk, Virginia; his siblings and their families, Jo Ann and Jack Barnes; Steve and Linda Khourey; Becky and Tom McFarlane; Lisa Moesle of Dunedin, Florida; Nieces and nephew, Stefanie, Chandra, Brittanie, and Michael; and many beloved extended family and friends. Mike was preceded in death by father Joseph and mother Mildred (Walters) Khourey. At his request a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers Michael requested donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, and that all sons and daughters who can, hug their fathers.
