Michael Mandalenakis, age 87, of North Canton, passed away peacefully Saturday October 23, 2021. Born in Kitherida, Crete, Greece on January 17, 1934 to the late Dimitrios and Athena (Ireonimides) Mandalenakis, he was preceded in death by his sister Maria Callas and beloved nephew, Dimitri McCullough. Mike, above all, loved mathematics, gardening and building things. He was the cherished brother of Maria Callas (Mike Callas, both deceased), Katina Mandas, and Penny McCullough (Charles McCullough, deceased). He leaves behind him many nephews and nieces. Michael was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church and the Cretan Club Organization. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 30th from 10 to 11 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with services to follow at 11am, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael's name may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
