Michael J. Phillips age 64 of East Canton, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019. Born in West Virginia to the late Orval and Pauline Phillips, he was also preceded in death by his wife Gloria (Haddad) Phillips, daughter Christine Henline, step-daughter Jennie Bryant, step-son Jimmy Naugle, brothers Orval, Donald, Wayne, Timothy, and Paul Phillips, and sisters Helen Phillips, Ruth Phillips, and Judy Hooper. Michael was a mechanic who loved working on cars. He is survived by his children Gary Phillips, Michael (Lindy) Firl, Ellen Phillips, step-son-in-law Lee Bryant, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Floyd Phillips, sisters Gladys Coburn, Connie McQuin, Mary Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or service. Respecting Michael's wishes he will be cremated.
