IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mildred "Millie"
(Ballog) Ranalli
August 30, 1947 – August 4, 2024
Mildred "Millie" Ranalli, age 76 of Canton, passed away on August 4, 2024. She was born in Cleveland on August 30, 1947 to the late John and Martha Ballog. A graduate of McKinley High School, she worked at the Repository, Davies Drugs and later retired from Canton City Schools as a teacher's assistant. Millie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Campus where she served on various church committees. She was a gentle soul, an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and welcomed all with a fresh pot of coffee and good conversation. Millie loved to cook, bake and always kept others in mind, never missing an opportunity to send a birthday card or give a thoughtful gift. Giving unconditionally to others gave her purpose in life. Above all, Millie's greatest joy was being a grandma and caring for her two grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Millie was preceded in death by infant daughter Heather and sisters Margie Kotema and Doris Bond. Millie is survived by her husband Gary Ranalli of 55 years; children Bridget (Todd Friend) Ranalli, Rachel (Bryan Herberghs) Ranalli, and Gary Ranalli; grandchildren Anthony and Sophia; sister Joanne (Dave) Adams; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m, and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Campus.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Inn at Belden Village and Crossroads Hospice for their compassion shown to Millie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Anthony Campus.
