MILDRED MAYO, age 93 of Canton, entered the loving arms of Jesus on July 4, after a brief illness. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. Mildred was born in Marietta, Ohio on June 17, 1920 to the late George and Mary Bayless, one of fourteen children. Mildred was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and retired from Timken Mercy Hospital after 18 years. She enjoyed her Teddy Bear collection, flowers, long walks in the park and sitting in the sunshine on her deck, but most of all she loved time with her family. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Pedro Mayo Caberas who was born in Leon, Spain. Survivors include her daughter Teresa Schleappi, her two sons, Pete (Nancy) Mayo, Darryl (Suzanne) Mayo, grandchildren Teresa (Robert) Ballinger, Darryl (Tina) Mayo Jr, Stephen Ray, great-grandchildren Jessica (Eric) Craft, Gregory (Brittnie) Ballinger, Caleb, Gabriella and Darryl Mayo III, Taylor, Savannah and Taylor, sister Edith Luke, brother Leonard Bayless, sister Audry Andrews. She loved them with all her heart. Friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11am. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 am in the funeral home with Pastor Jake Tovissi officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Thanks to all doctors and nurses at Aultman Hospital and caregivers from Interim Home Care. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful mother who has filled our hearts with love, joy, wisdom and strength.
