Myra Ann (Icardi) Buonaspina, age 81, of Canton, was born on February 5, 1935 in Canton, Ohio, passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on January 17, 2017. Myra graduated from Canton South High School in 1953. She worked at The Timken Company before marrying Vincent Buonaspina on October 12, 1957 and raising their family. She retired from the Credit and Catalog Department of J.C. Penney Company in 1995. Myra was preceded in death by her husband Vincent R. Buonaspina, Jr., in 1986, her parents Hugo and Anna (Bazzo) Icardi, brother Leon Icardi, and nephew Seth Neighbor. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Michael) Huth and son, Robert (Barbara) Buonaspina; grandsons Alexander (Sarah) Huth, David Huth and Vincent Buonaspina; brothers Hugo (Linda) Icardi, David (Joan) Icardi, Frank (Carolyn) Icardi; sister Nannette (Mike) Remley; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Parish, with Msgr. Jay Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the House of Loreto (2812 Harvard Ave. N.W. Canton, OH 44709), or St. Paul Catholic Parish Endowment Fund (241 South Main St. North Canton, Ohio 44720).
