IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nathaniel T.
Laster Ii
April 8, 1997 – June 21, 2023
Nathaniel Todd Laster II
On June 21, 2023, our lives were forever changed when, at the age of 26, Nathaniel's life was tragically taken from us. Nathaniel, known to most by Nate, affectionately Nato by his mother, or his nickname "Blockhead," was born April 8, 1997 in Canton, Ohio to Noelle Ann Vitale and Nathaniel Todd Laster.
Nate attended private Catholic school until fourth grade when he then transferred into the Canton City School system, where he took advanced classes and graduated on the Honor Roll a year early. He continued his education on an academic scholarship awarded by Canton Carnival of Wheels Automotive Engineering Technology at Stark State University.
Nate enjoyed working on cars. His real passion was building computers and gaming. When Nate was not working or spending time with his family, you could find him sitting in his "man cave" in front of his computer or Xbox gaming with his brother Drake or on World of Warcraft with his friend Llama. When in serious gaming mode, he could sit for hours with a cigarette tucked behind his ear and a large Dunkin iced coffee to his right. When just relaxing you could find him watching an anime.
Nate never hesitated to help anyone, especially his family and could always put a smile on your face. He was forever making jokes. He was always adventurous and trying new things. He liked the beach and the ocean, and was so proud of himself when he caught a shark. He never asked for much, enjoyed the simple things and also had a love for Mexican food. The past week preceding his death, he was the happiest he had been in a long time.
Above all, Nate loved his family the most. He is survived by son Elijah, daughter Sophia, his mother Noelle Vitale, brother Christopher, sister Natalie, brother Drake. His maternal extended family, Uncle Greg (Flo), Aunt Francine, Uncle John, Aunt Lisa (Vince), Aunt Stacy (Mike), his close cousin Gaige, family friends Oneshia Green, Rodney Kimbrough (RJ), John Robbins and many cousins. He is also survived by his father Nathaniel Laster, sister Cassaundra Jaroszyk, brother Lincoln Laster, paternal grandmother Anne Laster, Aunt Shevawn (Mike), Aunt Nicole (Orlando).
Nate was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Anthony and Jeanette Vitale, Uncle Leo Vitale, Uncle Anthony Vitale, Jr., Uncle Steven Vitale, brother Daniel Barrett. His paternal great grandmother Vonzeal Knight, grandfather Nathan Laster, Uncle CJ Harris.
A private ceremony will be held for immediate family and his close friends only.
