Nelson C. Wise age 71 of Canal Fulton, passed away Wednesday morning. Born in Glendale, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Loretta (Rine) Wise, he was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene, Eric, and Joseph Wise. Nelson was a 1969 graduate of Carrollton High School and an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He retired in 2016 from Republic Steel after 47 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of the Canal Fulton V.F.W. Nelson is survived by his wife of 48 years Debra (Nye) Wise, children Stephanie (Joe) Konecny, Jason Wise, sisters Norma Lee (David) Gray of Florida, Diana Resop of Wisconsin, Ginger (Philip) Lautzenheiser of Ohio, Donna Wise of Wisconsin, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Rossi Family Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Parish at 11:00 am with Rev. Fr. Benson Okpara celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations in Nelson's name may be made to any veteran's organization.
