NICHOLAS R. CAMPANELLI, age 83 passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 surrounded by his family. Nick served as a corporal in the Army and was a 35 year retiree from LTV Steel. Nick was always known for his great sense of humor and generosity with family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Santa, sisters Lena, Angie and brother Dominic and his beloved grandson Ryan. Nick is survived by his loving wife Janet of 62 years, his daughter Sandra (Herb) Jinnings, sons Nick (Dawn) and Michael (Georgia) Campanelli, grandchildren Alyssa, Tyler, Chris and Carrie and sister Gina Notaro. As per Nick's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Rose Lane Nursing Home and Akron General Hospice for their loving care and friendship. Nick's teasing and joking will be missed by all.
