NICHOLAS J. PACELLI, age 79 died July 1, 2013 from a lengthy illness. He was born in Canton on April 15, 1934 to the late Thomas J. and Tillie (Campanelli) Pacelli, he was also preceded in death by his sister Elsie Daianu. Nick attended Hartford Grade School and Timken Vocational High School. He worked at Park Farms Inc. as a supervisor for over 35 years. He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1963. During his healthy years, Nick enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet and trap shooting. He was always "King of the Barbecue Chicken Pit" at the Pacelli family get-togethers. Nick was a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish and served as an usher for many years. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Rosalie (Orlando) Pacelli, son and daughter-in-law Nick and Lesa Marie Pacelli, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Glenn Cantor, son Tom Pacelli, the love of his life, granddaughters Lauren Marie and Katie Rose Cantor, sister and brother-in-law Margie and Frank Mongiardo, brother-in-law John Daianu, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jeanne and Tom Kauffman, and mother-in-law Betty Orlando. Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Saint Parish. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael Tirmonia, who has been taking wonderful care of Nick for years, and the staff of the Laurels for their compassionate care.
