Nick Sedon, age 83 of Canton, passed away Friday morning. Born in Powhatan Point, OH to the late Michael and Mary (Ladzun) Sedon, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Connie (Christ) Sedon, brothers George, Mike, John, Chuck and Pete Sedon. He retired from Sugardale Foods after 35 plus years of service. Nick also had been partners with two of his brothers in a successful restaurant business in Massillon for six years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War serving aboard the destroyer USS Columbus. Nick attended First Friends Church of Canton since 2011; he loved spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. Nick was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a gentle man, "steady as she goes", always upbeat with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He is survived by his children Kathleen Sedon, Nick (Kathy) Sedon Jr., grandchildren Ashley and Jake both whom adored their grandpa's kindness and sense of humor, brothers Andrew, Steve, Alex (Nancy) Sedon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, with services to follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
