NICOLA B. GLIATTA

Nick was born on December 1, 1920 to the late Raffeala (Scrima) and Bartolome Gliatta in Magnolia, Ohio. He was the loving husband of the late Sarah Norcia, whom he married on November 16, 1946 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Nick was a WWII army veteran, serving as a medic with the Army Corps of Engineers in North Africa and Europe. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1980. Nick was an avid golfer and one of the better golfers of his time. He still holds the Tam O'Shanter Hills Course record of 61 shot in 1967. He could be found on a golf course nearly everyday until his 90 ^th birthday when Sarah's needs kept him at her side.

Nick was passionate with a forgiving nature, generous heart and a keen sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his children, Carol (Hank) Depner, Nancy (Jim) Elseser, Bart (Cindy) Gliatta, Nick (Regina) Gliatta, Barbara (Bill) Vennetti, Deborah (Tony) Chagaros, James (Kathy) Gliatta, his 18 grandchildren of whom he was very proud and his 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Elma Gocek, his sisters-in-law, Marge Gliatta, Virginia Cochran and Netta Norcia. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard and sister, Rose McGill. A special note of thanks to his dedicated caregivers Jennifer Guilmette, Ashley James and Tiffany Nickol.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to mass at St. Anthony/All Souls Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Souls Catholic Church or charity of your choice.
