Norma Jean (Garrini) Stefan, age 82 of Canton, passed away Monday, January 5 ^th 2015. Born in Canton to the late John and Miracola Garrini, she was preceded in death by her brother Dominic (Amelia) Garrini. A 1950 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, Norma was a member of Christ the Servant Catholic Parish. Norma was very active in her lifetime; working at the Timken Company prior to her becoming a passionate homemaker. Raising her family gave her the most joy. Her interests included: cooking, sewing, bowling, playing cards, gardening, bocce, reading & writing. She was an avid sports fan, volunteered during elections and served on her high school reunion committee. She enjoyed working at Hub Victor for over 10 years. Norma is survived by her husband of 59 years Emil Stefan, children Emil (Melissa) Stefan of Canton, Diana (Michael) Valentine of Charlotte, NC, Cristina (Joseph) Ambs of Fishers, IN, Dr. Michael (Andrea) Stefan of Massillon, Darren (Bobbi) Stefan of Canton, 12 grandchildren; Nicole, Zachary, Emily, Matthew, Craig, Brent, Anthony, Amelia, Michael, Maccoy, Nikkel, Collin, 10 great-grandchildren, brother John (Anna) Garrini, her sisters are Julia Stambaugh & Nancy Garrini all of Canton, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00am, Christ the Servant Catholic Parish with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano, celebrant. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the Servant Parish. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Aultman Hospital and Aultman Dialysis Center of Canton.
