IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pasquale "Pat"
M. D'Aurelio
February 1, 1941 – June 28, 2023
Pasquale "Pat" Michael D'Aurelio, 82 of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was born in Canton on February 1,1941 to the late Gaetano and Rose D'Aurelio (nee Russo). Pasquale graduated in 1959 from Central Catholic High School. He then attended Kent State University after proudly serving in the United States Navy, where he was stationed on the Lyman K. Swenson DD729 ship. Upon his return from the Navy, he was employed by the Timken Company before starting his own construction and concrete business.
Pasquale was a man of many talents. He was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed helping others with construction projects that others deemed impossible. He was always able to come up with unique solutions. Playing slowpitch softball for Tim's Tavern was another of his talents. The outfield would immediately back up when D'Aurelio took the bat. He also enjoyed coaching his daughter's basketball teams. Pasquale loved being an OHSAA official for basketball and football for over 40 years. He was a dedicated volunteer at WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone CC as well as on numerous committees for the Pro Football HOF Game and Enshrinement Festival. Over the years, he was instrumental in building the backdrop for the Gold Jacket Dinner. He was a model in the HOF Fashion Show. You may have also recognized him driving his red Eldorado Cadillac convertible in the HOF Parade. He had a love for horses and was always a "wanna be" cowboy at heart. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Texas, for the yearly Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. He took great pride in his Italian heritage, while family and friends enjoyed his homemade Italian cooking. He was most proud of his family. He loved spending time with them at his beautiful pool and waterfall that he built or sitting around his carefully designed fire pit.
In addition to his parents, Pasquale was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Bella who loved jumping down in the construction site with him. Left behind to cherish his memory are his fiancé` and love of his life for 35 years, Cathy Coup Durant, three siblings Guy (Marjorie) D'Aurelio, RoseMarie (Glenn) Westover, Mary Ann D (Jerry) Snyder, and his four children, Gina D'Aurelio, Dino (Lisa) D'Aurelio, Annmarie D'Aurelio (Woody Brooks), and Maria D'Aurelio, four grandchildren, Sophia, Aaliyah, Rocco and Madelynn, and several nieces and nephews.
