IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pasqualina (Bettino)
Ianni
May 18, 1929 – June 12, 2024
Pasqualina (Bettino) Ianni, age 95 of Canton, passed away peacefully with her children by her side Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Born in Belmonte, Calabria, Italy to the late Giovanni and Angela (Conforti) Bettino. She and her late husband, Antonio immigrated to the United States to provide a better life for their family. Pasqualina, affectionately called Nana by so many, was a kind, loving and generous soul. Known for her old world style of cooking, she graciously welcomed and fed anyone who walked through her door. In fact, she insisted. Nana's love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was only matched by our love for her. She instilled the importance of family and tradition as we enjoyed many years of Sunday dinners and Christmas eves filled with memories that will be cherished forever. Pasqualina was particularly happy to celebrate her 95th birthday with her family and close friends. It was a joyful celebration of her beautiful life. She was unwavering in her faith and her Rosary was never far from her side. Pasqualina was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Parish, an avid volunteer, crafter and a member of the Miraculous Medal Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Antonio Ianni, brother Stanley Bettino and son-in-law Frederick "Fritz" Hochwarth and her beloved cat, Samantha. She is survived by her children Annie Hochwarth, Dr. Frank (Lois Dolph) Ianni, Anthony (Barb) Ianni Jr., grandchildren Michele (Jim) Cox, Allison (Jim) Chiofolo, Erin (Conrad) Keim, Michael (Laura) Ianni, Jenamarie (Johnny) Dubois, Jimmy (Krissi) Ianni, great grandchildren McKayla, Christopher, Mary, Ellen, Libby, Olivia, Charlotte, Leo, Adalina, Emelia, Mia, Gigi, nieces Mary (Tony) Alessandro, Maria Luisa (Horacio) Pinasco, Angela McDonald, nephew Albert Ianni, and special friends whom she loved dearly; Mary Lou Ianni, Mary Delgatto, Darla Bishop, and Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop. This angel will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11:00 am, at St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony Campus with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Betsy Kendis and staff, Mercy Home Health Care, Mercy Hospice, and Bethany Nursing Home for all their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or to one of her favorite charities: The FRAXA Research Foundation www.fraxa.org or St Jude Children's Hospital. www.stjude.org.
