Pete Janidas, age 56 of Canton, passed away early Wednesday morning. Born in Steubenville, OH, he was preceded in death by his father James D. Janides, Sr. Pete was a 1980 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and a drummer in the marching band. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Pete is survived by his mother Evangelia "Lily" (Kostidou) Janidas, brothers Christopher (Holly) Janidas, James A. Janidas Jr., and nephew Logan Janidas. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with services to follow at 9:30 a.m., Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
