Peter J. Mizeres Sr.

Peter passed away March 16 ^th in Sarasota, Florida at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents Anastasia and James Mizeres, brothers George and Nick. Peter was born in Canton, OH and graduated from McKinley High School in 1951. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Peter received his B.S. Degree and Masters Degree from Akron University. He retired form Canton City Schools with 37 years of service. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Arlene, sons Peter of Cleveland, Stephen (Melanie) of Cincinnati, grandchildren Kit, Tyler, Tanner, Noah, Colby and Jonah. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with Trisagion Service to be held at 7:00 pm. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10 to 11 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with funeral service to follow at 11, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating, assisted by Rev. Fr. Basil Shaheen. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
