Philip A. Ataya, born on October 6, 1946, in Dhour El Shwier, Lebanon, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2024 surrounded by family. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Nazha Shaheen Ataya, who departed in January 1999. He leaves behind four children, Philip, Mary, Christina, and Michael, their spouses and 9 grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12 noon at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church with services to follow at 12 noon, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Corbin officiating. A private family burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Philip's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
