Prosper S. Altieri age 84 of Canton, passed away Thursday morning. Born in Canton to the late Nicola and Antonetta (Castelli) Altieri he was also preceded in death by his wife Helen, brothers Ralph, Tony, Al, Carmen and sister Josephine Angelo. He retired from United Rolls Incorporated in 2015 after 60 years of service as a crane operator. He was a member of the Canton Preservation Society, O.P.E.N. Neighborhood Association and was a SCF Leadership Graduate. Survived by his children Kathy Altieri, Steve (Cathy) Altieri, Trudy Altieri all of Canton, Lisa (Eric) Altieri-O'Brien of Green, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and brother Donato Altieri of North Canton. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 1:00 pm. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canton Preservation Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Northern Ohio Chapter, 5700 Brecksville Rd., Independence, OH.
