Ralph J. DiGiulio, age 80, passed away November 8, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center under hospice care. He was born on March 24, 1935 in Windber, Pennsylvania to the late Ralph and Anita DiGiulio. Survived by his loving wife, Linda, of 25 years; his daughter Jeanne (Phillip) Hamad II; grandsons Jonathan (Elizabeth) McGill and Phillip Michael Hamad III; granddaughter Jessica Hamad. Also survived by brothers Carmine (Tudie) DiGiulio, of Canton and Gary DiGiulio of Windber, PA; sisters Lorrie (Jim) Burns of Johnstown, PA, Mary Beth DiGiulio, Delores Hobba, and Margaret Bahorik of Windber, PA; sister-in-laws Euna (Arthur) Hetrick and Pamela (Walter) Pirogowicz; many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. He loved his two Schnauzers, Benny and Brady, very much. Ralph graduated from Windber High School in 1953 and went into the Air Force for four years during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Concord College in 1962 and received his Masters in Education in 1967, from Kent State. He began teaching at Canton City Schools in 1962, and retired in 1989 as a Guidance Counselor at Timken Senior High School. Ralph was also the golf coach for 11 years; he loved the Timken Trojans. He was an avid golfer, and he had a hole-in-one at the Legends in 2006. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Pitt Panthers, and the Windber Ramblers. Ralph was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2223 North Canton. Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home (730 30 th St. NW, Canton, OH) on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio. A special thank you to Mercy Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Hospice and The American Heart Association.
