Ralph E. Swonger Sr., 90, passed away Monday, August 21 ^st peacefully at home surrounded by family. Ralph is survived by his children Terry and Brenda Swonger of Canton, Cathy and Bernard Bauchmen of North Canton, Ralph and Mary Swonger of Sandyville, Robert Swonger of Wooster. Preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia Swonger, his children Cynthia, Gail Ann, Nancy Lee, and Rodger. Special thanks to Kathy Heckman and Mary Tuffand whom helped on care giving. Ralph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was retired from US Steel. Ralph was a veteran of World War II. Many thanks to Grace hospice. They were there helping us and made it possible to keep dad at home where he wanted to be. They helped dad through us to go on his journey home. Ralph will be interred at Westlawn Cemetery in Canton, with full military honors. Interment will follow services at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Rossi Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Reggie Cureton officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour before services.
