Raphael T. Lijoi, age 96 of Canton, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Raphael (Rae) known to many as "Nana" was born in Canton on August 11, 1928 to the late Giacomo and Caroline (Palumbo) Colonna. She was a member of Christ the Servant Parish, and a graduate of Mt. Marie High School. Raphael was the owner and operator North Canton Hair Styling. She was an excellent cook, but one of her favorite things to do was bake treats for her family. She was also an avid fan of Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football, but would watch any football game that was on TV.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrea Lijoi; son Giacomo Lijoi; daughter Caroline Lijoi; and sisters Saveria Picone and MaryAnn McDermott. Raphael is survived by her children Marianna (John Lehman) Lijoi of Wadsworth and Saverio Lijoi of Canton; eight grandchildren Kyle (Melissa Luntz) Antol, Carolyn Antol, Jared (Caitlin) Lijoi, Dustin Lijoi, Leah (Matt) Godfrey, Shana Lijoi, Ashley Lehman, and Mike (Erika) Lehman; and eleven great-grandchildren Makenna, Mia, Gianna, Sullivan, Marcelle, Anola, Travlr, Hunter, Avery, Louie, and Madisyn.

Family and friends will be received at Christ the Servant Parish on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin in the church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations, in Raphael's name, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Crossroads Hospice.
