Raymond A. "Sid" DeGeorgia age 84 of Canton, passed away early Thursday morning. Born in East Canton to the late Panfilo and Mary (Valentine) DiGiorgio he was also preceded in death by his brother Art (Velma) DeGeorge. Sid was a 1952 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran. He retried from Fisher Foods after 40 years of service. Sid is survived by his wife of 28 years Joan (Slayman) DeGeorgia, step-children; Brian Lambrou, Patty Moltedo, Terrie Welsh, Steven (Lori) Ueltschy, Tom (Sara) Ueltschy, Jeff Ueltschy, brother Al (Marla) DeGeorgia, sister Mary Ann (Jim) Crawford, many nieces, nephews and cousins and his best buddy Terrell Crawford. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit celebrant. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
