Raymond Eric Denczak, 72, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Born on February 26, 1954, in Canton, Ohio, Ray was a lifelong Canton resident and a longtime employee of the Ford Motor Company. Ray lived a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel (Maxin) Denczak and longtime Canton City Council President Ray Denczak.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Judy (Capocci) Denczak; his two daughters, Megan (Ryan) Shanor and Lauren (Patrick) Mackie; his cherished grandchildren, Jack (Libby Howard) Shanor, Grady Shanor, Mila Mackie, and Maverick Mackie; and his sister, Pamela (Larry) Henderhan.

Ray was a loving husband, proud father, supportive father-in-law, adoring grandfather, and a remarkably generous and selfless man. For more than five decades, he and Judy built a marriage rooted in unwavering love, mutual respect, and quiet devotion. Together, they created a home where family always came first, standing side by side through every joy and every challenge life brought their way. He was immensely proud of the women his daughters, Megan and Lauren, became, and found great happiness watching them build loving families of their own.

His greatest joy was his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his grandchildren and cheering them on in every chapter of their lives. Whether he was celebrating Grady at the Exceptional Olympics, hollering as Jack crossed the finish line at Dr. Martin Smilek Stadium, celebrating Mila's goals on soccer fields, or enthusiastically supporting Maverick from the sidelines of hockey rinks and football fields, Ray embodied what it meant to be a proud Papa. His encouragement, unwavering presence, and unconditional love left an immeasurable impact on those fortunate enough to know him.

When he wasn't with his family, Ray could often be found tending to his vegetable garden and flower beds or chatting with his wonderful neighbors.

Ray's memory will be cherished by all who experienced his kindness and love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by the family and friends whose lives he enriched.
