Raymond L. Sprankle, Jr. age 72 of Canton, passed away Tuesday afternoon surrounded by his family. Ray was born in Canton to the late Raymond L. Sr. and Anne (Pallottini) Sprankle. He was also preceded in death by his brother David Sprankle and sister Rose Coblentz. He was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School, member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church and a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Ray was the owner of R & R Concrete for 44 years and the current owner of RMS Storage. He was also a member of the Unique Club of Stark County and the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Jean (Finn) Sprankle, sons Raymond L. Sprankle III, Samuel (Mycha) Sprankle, Matthew Sprankle, granddaughters Saylor and Sami Sprankle, sister Sue Adams and brother-in-law Irv Coblentz. Ray enjoyed coffee with the guys at Samantha's, Skyland Pines, golf vacations, poker night, and watching his local sports teams with his dog "Zeke" at his feet. You could always count on Ray for a great story and a helping hand. He lived life to the fullest with a heart of gold. Most dearest to Ray and the light of his life were his granddaughters and his sons, whom he reminded was all possible because of his loving wife. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 3 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski celebrant. Internment will be in Northlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Unique Club Scholarship Fund.
