Pollack
January 9, 1931 – November 30, 2017
Regis M. Pollack age 86 of Canton, passed away Friday morning. Born in Barnesboro, PA to the late John and Mary (Hancharek) Pollack, he was preceded in death by his first wife Katheryn (George) Pollack, second wife Laverne, and four brothers. In 1969 he and his family moved to Ohio from Detroit, MI. Regis worked for General Motors as a Master Model Maker for 22 years, then at Modern Tool and Die for 17 years. He returned to General Motors and retired in 1994. He was an Army veteran. Regis was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, the Arabian Horse Association, the Richland County Sheriff's Department Posse and an Honorary Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Patrol. He was an avid golfer, car enthusiast and enjoyed horses. He made the models of the lobbies of the original World Trade Centers. He is survived by his children Connie (Maurice) Young of Texas, John (Sue) Pollack of Louisville, OH, Mark (Beth) Pollack of Olmsted Falls, OH, grandchildren Brady Jagger Pollack, Cupar Meikle, Mica Langford, and two great-grandchildren Riley and Colby. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 to 11 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with funeral services to follow at 11, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
