Richard R. DeChiara age 83 passed away early Sunday morning after an extended illness. Richard was born in Canton on January 8, 1932 to the the late Anthony and Lucy (Rex) DeChiara. He was a retired employee of Stark County Engineers where he worked 32 years in the Traffic Division. In addition to his parents Richard was preceded in death by three brothers John, Donald and Harold. He is survived by his loving wife Monica of the home. Five daughters; Karen McKelley, Marsha (Barry) Black, Louise (Vince) Cuenot, Cathy (Jeff) Mutchler, and Leslie ( Greg) Windberg and two sons Daniel (Diana) DeChiara and Robert Dayton. One brother Ralph (Helen ) DeChiara ,one sister Dena (Bob) Pedersen , 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and his beloved Scotty dog Benji. Family and friends will be received Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
