Richard W. Paige, age 83 of Canton, passed away Thursday morning at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canton to the late Merle and Ella (Bendure) Paige, he was preceded in death by sons Richard W. Paige Jr, Danny L. Paige, and sister Frances "Boots" Teis. He was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School. An Army veteran, Dick retired from Goodyear Aerospace as supervisor of a electronic engineering department. He also served as an electrical consultant on the Earthwinds Project. After retirement, Dick worked at Hertz in the Akron Canton Airport for 20 years. He was an accomplished stained glass artist having many projects disbursed Internationally. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Nancy (Snauffer) Paige, daughter Denise (Jim) Sturgeon, son Mark (Lorraine) Paige, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother Carl Paige, and sister Nora (Herb) Hess. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Rafique for 10 years of wonderful care, Dr. Novoa for his extraordinary compassion , and Dick's "Guardian Angel" Ann Kagarise.
