RICHARD D. SPADONE, age 73 of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Born in Windber, Pennsylvania to the late Dominic and Ida (Clement) Spadone he has lived most of his life in the Canton area. He was a 1957 graduate of Timken High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Massillon. Richard was an Army veteran having served with the 762 ^nd Transportation Unit earning the rank of Sergeant E5. He retired in 1997 from Republic Steel as a foreman after 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Janice (Neininger) Spadone, sons and daughters-in-law Richard M. and Julie Spadone, James E. and Mary Spadone, four grandchildren; Richard A., Stephanie, Vincent and Angela Spadone, sisters Lorraine Vitale and Linda (Robert) Miracle. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Rossi Funeral Home with services to follow at 1:30 pm, Rev. Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
