Robert "Bob" DiFolco, age 78 of Massillon passed away Friday evening, July 3, 2015 at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care. Born in Canton to the late Anthony and Mary (Petrella) DiFolco, he was preceded in death by his siblings Pat, Louis, Anthony DiFolco, Virginia Bertram, and Florence Sanders. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #554 Bishop Massillon Assembly Fourth Degree, The Amvets Post #6 in Massillon, and a volunteer for the Italian American Festival for 24 years. A Navy veteran, Bob was most proud of his commissioning of the USS Forrestal. He worked as a barber for 14 years at the Market Heights Shop then with Warner Cable for 20 years, retiring in 1991 as a supervisor. Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years Joanne (Esber) DiFolco, son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Stephanie DiFolco of Key West, FL, daughters and sons-in-law Roberta and Gale Parsons of McConnelsville, OH, Teresa and Brian Spangler of Canton, six grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Parsons, Angelica and Jake DiFolco, Sarah and Mike Bickel, Alicia Spangler and two great-grandchildren Mason Stailey and Lacey Bickel, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Bill Pohl of Washington State. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with celebrant Father Tom DiFolco and Deacon David Conversino. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice.
