Robert D. (Bob) Figurella, age 80, of Canton passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, from complications of COVID-19. Bob was born March 20, 1941, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to Patsy and Amelia Figurella. He was a 1959 graduate of Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Ohio, and attended the University of Massachusetts. Starting at the age of 14 he worked after school at Yankee Run Golf Course in Brookfield and continued to work for the next 53 years in the golf course maintenance industry, 39 of which were served as superintendent at Brookside Country Club in Canton. He was the recipient of numerous professional awards, including the 2015 induction to the Stark County Amateur Golf Association Hall of Fame, a first for a superintendent, and the 2017 induction into the Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association's Hall of Fame. Bob was a member of St. Michael Catholic Parish and was a man of strong faith. Bob was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed attending shows and showing his vintage cars with his brothers, children and grandchildren. His fun-loving personality will be remembered by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Frances Figurella, children Mark (Tina) Figurella of Chagrin Falls, Ronald Figurella of Aliquippa, Pa, Tracy Schlemmer of Canton, Matthew (Diana) Franta of Canton, and Jennifer Franta of Massillon; brothers Donald (Nancy) Figurella of Canton, and Angelo "Butch" (Gina) Figurella of Royal Palm Beach, Fl. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Lauren Schlemmer, Alex and Natalie Figurella, Jimmy, Penelope and Charlotte Franta.

A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Monday, December 13th and live cast at
