Robert James Strub, age 75 of Poland, OH, passed away early Wednesday morning. Born in New Brighton, PA to the late Guy and Esther (Koach) Strub, he had lived most of his live in the Canton area and the last two years in Poland, OH. He retired in 2011 from Rice's Nursery, working as a landscaper for 28 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. A kind and generous man, one of Robert's hobbies was working in his yard and helping neighbors in their yards. He is survived by his wife Linda (Guerriero) Strub, sons Kevin (Laura Wilson) Strub of Akron, Eric (Melissa Hopkins) Strub of Canal Fulton, six grandchildren; Ashley, Zachary, Madison, Nathan, Julian and Cameron Strub, brother Leonard (Donna) Strub of Indian Rock, FL, mother-in-law Charlotte (Richard) Confer, father-in-law John Guerriero, special buddies Jakie, Gracie, Chewie, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley in Mahoning County, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
