Robert J. Welling, passed away October 8, 2015. "Gramps" was 90 years young. He was born in East Detroit, Michigan on March 15, 1925 to the late Joseph and Clara Welling. Bob was an entrepreneur and owner of a sod farm and mobile home company. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton. He was preceded in death by Elise Welling, mother of his children; son, David, brother, Richard, and sister, Doris. He is survived by his children; Donald Welling of McKinney, TX, Jean (Jerry) Loughry of North Canton, James Welling of North Canton, Karen (Geno) Forchione of Massillon, grandchildren; Laura (Josh), Nick, Drew, Kara, Amy, Brandon, Daniel, Erin, great-grandchildren; Caiden, Katyn, and brother-in-law Russ (Dorothy) Tilson. A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton with Rev. Fr. Daniel Finnerty, celebrant. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. "Gramps, you may be gone - but never forgotten...until we meet again."
