ROGER L. OFFENBERGER, SR., age 68 of Canton, loving husband and father, passed away Wednesday morning after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his mother Beryle (Ward) Offenberger. Roger is survived by his wife of 48 years Junellyn (Slagle) Offenberger, children Roger L. Jr. and Vicki Offenberger, Brenda M. Offenberger, Captain Roy W. Offenberger, father Robert Offenberger, sister Gloria Williams , brothers-in-law Paul and Cindy Slagle, David and Ann Slagle. Roger was a retired oil well worker. He loved hunting and fishing, loved his dogs but most of all he loved his family. Friends will be received on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm with services to follow at 1:30 pm. Roger's son Captain Roy W. Offenberger will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
