Roger L. Smith age 74 of Newton Falls, passed away Monday, April 19th. Born in Sharpsburg, OH to the late Carroll and Pauline (Hill) Smith, he was preceded in death by his wife Colleen (Milhoan) Smith, brothers Phillip, Duane, Steven, and David Smith and sisters Lenore Chandler and Eva Smith. Roger was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired in 2006 from the U.S. Post Office after 20 years of service. He is survived by his ex-wife Eileen (Leddy) Smith, daughter Maureen Minder, grandson Collin James Minder, brothers Charles Ellery (Christine) Smith, Carlyn Smith, John (Margurite) Ramsey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial with full military honors will be on Tuesday, 12:30 pm, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations in Roger's name may be made to any Vietnam veteran's organization.
