Ronald "Ron" Myers age 77 of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, November 29, 2021. He was born on January 30, 1944 to the late Robert and Jean Myers and was a 1963 graduate of McKinley High School. Ron was a member of the Blue Knights and his work resume included the Hoover Company, Plain Local School District, and owner of The Liquor Vault in Scottsdale, Arizona where he was named Retailer of the Year in 1995. He was also a 20 year Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff for the Stark County Sheriff's Office. In 1973 he and his auxiliary motorcycle unit were invited to Washington DC for the Bicentennial Inauguration of President Nixon and Vice President Agnew where they rode the signature figure 8 in the parade. He loved riding motorcycles so much that he escorted funerals for many years in every type of weather imaginable. There was never too much rain or snow that would stop him from doing what he loved. As long as he was on his motorcycle the weather didn't matter. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother Robert Myers and his sister Bonnie Bednarczyk. Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years Bonnie (Bergen) Myers, three daughters and sons-in-law Allison and Jeff Moore, Rhonda and Alfred Nagel, Brooke and Kevin Harter, son David Machamer and five grandchildren; Josh (Andrea), Erica, Dakota, Amber (Adam), and Mathew. The family would like the thank the Twin Hills Unit at St. Luke Nursing Home in North Canton and Crossroads Hospice for all the wonderful care they provided. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4 pm, family friend Jeff Deem officiating.
