RONEO (CHRISANTHUS) APOSTALIDES, age 86 of Canton, passed away Friday afternoon. Born in Canton to the late Gust and Mary Chrisanthus, she was preceded in death by her husband Pete, son Sam "Pete", brothers Harry (Dina) Chrisanthus, Steve (Nickie) Chrisanthus and sister Georgia Karipides. Roneo was a member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, Silver Liners, and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Penelope, Timken High School Alumni Class of 1945, and a recipient of the St. Haralambos Church Faithful Service Award. She is survived by her children, Dean and Kathy Apostalides of Phoenix, Michael and Helen Apostalides, Marica and Peter Bournelis all of Canton. She was Yia Yia to Christopher Apostalides, Lisa and Scott Salstrand, Peter and Crystal Apostalides, Erin Apostalides, Nicholas and Heidi Bournelis, and Savva Bournelis. She was "Big YiaYia" to Dominic and Georgiana Apostalides, Quinn and Ben Salstrand, Julia Apostalides, Sophia and Alexis Bournelis and Jordyn Apostalides. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Mike Karipides and Manuel (Isa) Fernandez and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 am Tuesday at church. Trisagion Services will be Monday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Roneo's name may be made to the Silver Liners or the Ladies Philoptochos Society.
